To set up your subscription plans so your customers can join your website:
- Go to your WordPress dashboard
- Click on “WP Member Subscription” on the left-hand menu
- Click on “Settings”
- Click on “Levels”
- Set up your levels by clicking on “Add Level”
- Enter name, description, price and length of time for each plan that you are charging customers
- Click “Add level”
- Repeat this for all of the subscriptions and memberships you want to charge your customers
How to secure pages to show only to paid subscribers:
- Go to “Pages or Posts” on the left-hand menu from the WordPress dashboard
- Create your content (videos, images, downloadable files, whatever you want)
- On the lower right-hand side, you will see a section labeled “WP Member Subscriptions”
- Click on the plan(s) that this page applies to. Meaning, this page(s) will only be accessible by the administrator of the WP site AND the paid subscriber.
- Click “Publish”
- Now, only your subscribers will be able to access those pages.
How do I create checkout, account, forgot password, login and registration pages?
- Go to your WordPress dashboard
- Click on “WP Member Subscription” on the left-hand menu
- Click on “Settings”
- Click on “Pages”
- Click on the page you want to customize or edit
- Make sure that the shortcode is on the page when you publish it, or it will not work.
- Once you design the page, click “Publish”
- You can use the links to each of these pages in your header, menu, buttons by simply clicking on “View Page” and copy and pasting that URL link to the page.
How do I set up discount/promo codes?
- Go to your WordPress dashboard
- Click on “WP Member Subscription” on the left-hand menu
- Click on “Settings”
- Click on “Discount Codes”
- Click “Add Discount”
- Fill out the information: name, discount amount, start and end date, fixed or percentage, amount of times the code can be used.
- Click “Add Discount”
How do I set up SMTP service to deliver receipts, reminder emails etc.?
- Go to your WordPress dashboard
- Click on “WP Member Subscription” on the left-hand menu
- Click on “SMTP”
- Choose the SMTP service you use for your email delivery. If you do not have one please go to one of the SMTP services in the drop down to sign up for a new account.
- Add the API key
- Click “Save Settings”
How do I set up email templates for receipts, account info, credit card failed, forgot password etc. ?
- Go to your WordPress dashboard
- Click on “WP Member Subscription” on the left-hand menu
- Click on “Email Templates”
- Mouse over the title of the template you want to edit
- Click on “Edit”
- Edit the Subject, Body, Enable/Disable etc.
- NOTE: if you scroll down on that edit page you will see placeholder short codes you can use to automatically enter saved information.
How do I see, edit, admin of members, orders and sales?
- Go to your WordPress dashboard
- Click on “WP Member Subscription” on the left-hand menu
- Click on “Settings”
- Click on “Members” or “Orders”
- Click on the member you need to edit or perform admin duties
- Click on the Order and see the completed order
